Documents banks ask for a used excavator loan

Lenders treat used earthmoving equipment as movable assets with a shorter residual life than new stock.

For individuals and proprietors you will usually need PAN, Aadhaar, six months of bank statements, GST registration if billed, and proof of existing contracts or site letters.

For the machine: sale agreement or proforma invoice, RC book, insurance copy, inspection report and photographs. Some NBFCs insist on their own valuer visiting the yard.

Loan amount depends on LTV — often 65–75% on popular brands with clear service history. Tenure commonly runs 36–48 months.

Apply with the exact machine ID you plan to buy. Changing the asset after sanction triggers a fresh valuation and can delay disbursement.
